Goal One:  Youth & Young Adults

  • Young Adult listening sessions begin mid-September 2020 by Zoom.
  • Invite young people to leadership and liturgical participation, with goal for deeper involvement by January 2021.
  • Partner with the parish school in designing opportunities to worship and pray together by January 2021 or sooner).
  • Invite young adults in your homes, family, and social circles to join us for young adult gatherings (by Zoom or in person).
  • Share parish social media posts.
  • Pray for our Young People and their vocational discernment.

Goal Two:  Spiritual & Faith Formation

  • Continue to host Advent & Lenten Retreats.
  • Develop Small Faith Groups using the JustFaith program by January 2021.
  • Host prayer services to help celebrate in new ways beginning with All Souls Day (November 2, 2020).
  • Develop a Lifelong Faith & Spiritual Formation Program for cross-generational reach, starting September 2020.
  • Revitalize parish bulletin to foster worship participation by October 1, 2020.
  • Participate in a core team to help assist with planning for Adult Faith Formation and cross-generational faith formation outreach.  People across the spectrum are needed:  catechists ("teachers"), group leaders, organizers, etc.
  • Attend & Participate!  Attend and participate in prayer services and formation events.
  • Share social media posts, eNewsletters and bulletins with family, friends and your social circle.

Goal Three: Outreach & Communications

  • Review parish communication strategies & methodologies during Fall 2020.
  • Conduct both a parish (online and mail portion done by October 18, 2020).  
  • Conduct a neighborhood census by Spring 2021.
  • Host welcome back Family Day upon Phase IV (date TBD)!
  • Ongoing partnership with area ministries, such as St. Thomas Clinic, among others.  
  • If you have background or skills in communications, technology, and marketing, consider helping us evaluate our marketing and communications strategies.  Contacting Fr. Aaron at meszarosa@arch-no.org.
  • Help organize, plan and participate in Family Day (once Phase IV arrives) and details are release.
  • When it is safe to do so, participate in parish census efforts!  Many disciples will be needed as we begin to introduce and re-introduce ourselves to the neighborhood at large.
  • Share social media posts, eNewsletters and bulletins with family, friends and your social circle.

Other Areas of Importance

  • Ongoing:  Continue our many ministries (brown bag, books for the school, etc.).
  • Ongoing:  Committees & Ministries engage in continued reflection, study & prayer.
  • The Parish will reassess priorities for the Pastoral Plan by June 2021 to adapt the goals and strategies, as well as to discern new goals.
  • Consider your baptismal call to be a leader and voice in the community.  Are you interested in worship and liturgy?  Faith Formation?  Evangelization?  Social justice?  Communications?  Contact us to let us know where you feel called.  Or contact us and we will help you discern.  Please remember that families are also called and can participate together in the life, ministry and work of the parish.
